ADHD Friendly Features in Brite
Brite is designed with features that help people with ADHD, executive dysfunction, and attention challenges stay organized and productive without feeling overwhelmed.
The standard Pomodoro (25 min work / 5 min break) can be too long for some. Brite offers an ADHD-friendly preset: 15 minutes work / 7 minutes break. Shorter intervals make it easier to start and maintain focus.
Find it in the Pomodoro widget > tap the timer settings > choose the ADHD preset.
Start with just 1-3 small daily habits instead of a long list. Examples:
- "Drink water" — simple, achievable, builds momentum
- "5-minute tidy" — tiny action, big impact
- "Morning check-in" — open Brite and look at today's plan
The streak counter provides dopamine hits that keep you motivated.
Background sounds help many ADHD brains concentrate. Open the Focus Sounds widget and try:
- Brown noise — popular for ADHD focus
- Rain sounds — calming and masking distractions
- Lo-fi music — gentle rhythm without lyrics
Breaking Tasks into Small Steps
Big tasks cause paralysis. Use subtasks to break them down:
Instead of "Write report" → "Open document", "Write first paragraph", "Add data", "Review".
Each subtask gets its own checkbox — checking them off provides satisfaction and momentum.
The Schedule widget shows your day as a visual timeline. Seeing time blocks instead of a text list helps with time blindness — a common ADHD challenge. Drag tasks to specific times to create structure.
AI Assistant for Quick Capture
When an idea hits — just type it to the AI: "Add task call dentist tomorrow". No need to navigate menus or figure out where to put it. The AI handles it instantly so you don't lose the thought.
