Brite for Freelancers: Projects, Clients, and Finance
As a freelancer, you juggle multiple clients, deadlines, and finances. Brite combines project management, time tracking, and expense tracking in one app — no need for separate tools.
1. One Project Per Client
Create a project for each client or gig. Inside each project, use subtasks for deliverables, notes for briefs, and set deadlines.
Use Kanban board view (To Do → In Progress → Done) to visually track progress.
2. Track Income and Expenses
Use the Finance widget to log:
- Income: Each payment received, tagged by client
- Expenses: Software subscriptions, equipment, travel
- Categories: Create custom categories per client or project
3. Time Blocking for Deep Work
Block out focus time on your schedule. Use Pomodoro timer for concentrated work sessions. Enable Focus Sounds to minimize distractions.
Set recurring tasks for invoice dates: "Send invoice to Client X" with monthly repetition. Never miss a billing cycle.
5. Separate Work and Personal
Use Tags (work vs personal) or Spaces to keep client work separate from personal tasks. Switch between views instantly.
