Free Trial, Charges, and Billing FAQ

Everything you need to know about Brite's free trial, how charges work, and what to do if something unexpected happens with your billing.

How the Free Trial Works

Brite offers a 3-day free trial for new users. During the trial, you get full access to all Pro features. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription.

Why Do I See a Charge During the Trial?

When you start a trial, the App Store or Google Play may place a pre-authorization hold on your card. This is NOT an actual charge — it's a temporary hold that disappears if you cancel before the trial ends.
Important: Check your bank statement carefully. If it says "pending" or "processing" — it's a pre-auth hold. If it shows as a completed transaction with a receipt — you may have been charged. In that case, contact us through the in-app support chat.

I Was Charged After Cancelling

If you cancelled the trial but were still charged:
1. Check the cancellation date — cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
2. Check App Store/Google Play subscriptions to confirm the cancellation went through
3. If you were genuinely charged after cancellation, contact us through support chat — we'll help sort it out

How to Check My Current Plan

Go to Settings > Subscription to see your current plan, renewal date, and payment method.

Price in App Differs from Checkout Price

If you see one price in the app but a different price at checkout — this is a known display bug we're actively fixing. The actual subscription price is the one shown at checkout (App Store/Google Play). We apologize for the confusion.
