From Dreams to Daily Tasks: Goal Planning with Brite

Big goals feel overwhelming — but when broken into daily actions, they become achievable. Brite's combination of Goals, Projects, Tasks, and Habits creates a complete goal-to-action pipeline.

Step 1: Define Your Goal

Open the Goals widget and create a goal. Make it specific and measurable:
- ❌ "Get fit" → ✅ "Run 5K in under 30 minutes by September"
- ❌ "Save money" → ✅ "Save $5,000 by December"
- ❌ "Learn Spanish" → ✅ "Complete B1 level by June"

Step 2: Create a Project

For each goal, create a Project. Break it into phases or milestones as subtasks:
Example for "Run 5K":
- Phase 1: Walk 30 min daily (weeks 1-2)
- Phase 2: Jog/walk intervals (weeks 3-4)
- Phase 3: Jog continuously (weeks 5-6)
- Phase 4: Increase pace (weeks 7-8)

Step 3: Build Supporting Habits

Goals need daily action. Create habits that feed your goal:
- "Morning run" — daily habit with streak tracking
- "Healthy lunch" — supports fitness goal
- "Spanish practice 15 min" — daily learning habit

Step 4: Schedule It

Block time on your Schedule for goal-related activities. If it's not on the calendar, it won't happen. Use time blocking to protect goal time from interruptions.

Step 5: Track Progress

Update your Goal widget regularly. Seeing progress (50%... 75%... 90%) is incredibly motivating. Review goals during your Weekly Review.
