How to Plan Your Day with Brite Schedule

Planning your day effectively is the key to staying productive and organized. Brite's Schedule widget gives you a clear, hour-by-hour view of your entire day — showing tasks, events, habits, and free time at a glance. This guide will walk you through setting up and using the Schedule to plan your perfect day.

1. Adding the Schedule Widget to Your Main Screen

If you don't see the Schedule on your main screen yet, here's how to add it:
1. Tap the Edit button at the bottom of your main screen (or the pencil icon).
2. Browse the widget gallery and find Schedule.
3. Tap Add Widget — it will appear on your main screen.
The Schedule widget shows your entire day as a timeline, with all your tasks and events placed at their scheduled times.

2. Understanding the Schedule View

The Schedule displays your day hour by hour. Here's what you'll see:
- Events appear as colored blocks at their scheduled times.
- Tasks with times appear in their designated time slots.
- Tasks without times appear at the top in the "Unscheduled" section.
- Habits can also be added to specific times.
You can switch between Day, Week, and Month views using the tabs at the top of the Calendar widget.

3. Adding Tasks and Events to Your Schedule

There are several ways to fill your schedule:
Quick add: Tap on any time slot in the Schedule to create a new event or task at that time.
From Tasks: Open any task, set a date and time — it will automatically appear in your Schedule.
Drag and drop: On the web/desktop version, you can drag tasks from your task list directly into a time slot.
AI Assistant: Just type something like "Add meeting with John tomorrow at 3pm" and the AI will create it for you.

4. Managing Your Daily Plan

- Reschedule: Drag an event or task to a different time slot to move it.
- Auto-shift overdue tasks: Go to Settings to enable automatic shifting of incomplete tasks to the next day.
- View today's plan: The main screen shows "My Day" with everything scheduled for today.
- Check progress: Completed tasks show a checkmark. Tap any task to mark it as done.

5. Tips for Effective Day Planning

- Start with priorities: Add your 3 most important tasks first, then fill in the rest.
- Use time blocks: Assign specific hours to focused work, meetings, and breaks.
- Include habits: Schedule daily habits (exercise, reading, meditation) at fixed times to build routines.
- Leave buffer time: Don't schedule every minute — leave gaps for unexpected tasks.
- Review at end of day: Check what you completed and reschedule anything that didn't get done.

Keyboard Shortcuts (Web/Desktop)

- Press T to quickly add a task.
- Press E to add an event.
