Plan Your Year with Brite: New Year Goals and Resolutions

A new year is the perfect time to set goals, build habits, and organize your life. Here's how to use Brite to make your resolutions actually stick.

Step 1: Set 3-5 Annual Goals

Don't overwhelm yourself with 20 resolutions. Pick 3-5 that matter most:
- Health: "Exercise 3x/week" or "Lose 10 kg"
- Career: "Get promoted" or "Launch side project"
- Finance: "Save $10,000" or "Pay off credit card"
- Personal: "Read 24 books" or "Learn guitar"
Create each in the Goals widget with a specific target and deadline.

Step 2: Break Goals into Quarterly Milestones

Create a Project for each goal. Add quarterly milestones as subtasks:
- Q1 (Jan-Mar): Foundation
- Q2 (Apr-Jun): Build momentum
- Q3 (Jul-Sep): Push through
- Q4 (Oct-Dec): Finish strong

Step 3: Build Daily Habits

Goals need daily action. Create habits that serve your goals:
- "30 min exercise" feeds the health goal
- "Save $25/day" feeds the finance goal
- "Read 30 min" feeds the reading goal

Step 4: Monthly Check-In

Set a recurring monthly event: "Goal Review". Each month, update progress in the Goals widget. Adjust your approach if something isn't working. Celebrate milestones.

Step 5: Don't Give Up in February

Statistics show most resolutions fail by February. Use Brite's habit streaks as motivation. Even a 1% improvement daily = 37x improvement over a year. Keep showing up.
