Trash, Deletion and How to Recover Deleted Items in Brite

Accidentally deleted a task, event, or habit? Don't panic — Brite keeps deleted items in the Trash for 30 days, giving you time to recover them.

Where to Find Trash

- Mobile: Open the main menu (hamburger icon or avatar in the top left) > scroll down > Trash
- Web/Desktop: Look in the bottom left corner — there are 4 buttons including Trash and manual Sync

Recovering Deleted Items

1. Open Trash
2. Find the item you want to restore
3. Tap/click Restore
The item returns to its original location with all data intact.

Permanent Deletion

Items stay in Trash for 30 days, then are permanently deleted. You can also manually empty the Trash if you want to clear it sooner.

"Delete Everything and Start Fresh"

If you want to clear all your data without deleting your account:
1. Go to each section (Tasks, Habits, Events, etc.) and select all > delete
2. Empty the Trash to permanently remove everything
3. Your account, subscription, and settings remain intact
Note: There is no single "reset all data" button yet — this is a feature we're working on.
